PEOPLE SCREENING SCREENING WITH MFMD.
18-48 Multi-zone metal detectors with people counting, and skin temperature reading models
A Door Frame Metal Detector (DFMD) is equipment that allows accurate threat detection and screening of metal objects, traditionally used by security professionals and law enforcement. The metal detector can detect a number of metals on the body as people walk through the system, thus keeping control of threats and the use of prohibited items. The scanner gives an alarm also a visual indicator to pinpoint the item zone as the person walks through.
The metal detector security units use pulse induction (PI) technology, this is a highly sensitive set of wire coils, which are wound inside the frame sides. Using magic and fairy dust the devices perform calculations and time electrical pulses to identify areas. There is a growing demand for the use of AI inside to give possible items such as a gun, knife, etc. However, for now, these solutions are not proven as security devices or yet reliable. (as of early 2021)
In July 1970, New Orleans International Airport in the United States became the first airport to use magnetometers to detect weapons—or anything made of metal. This was the first use of metal security screening anywhere in the world. In politically correct times, a metal detector is proven to have a high level of discrimination on non-threatening items, the detector just allows security screening for metals with little interaction. Just there to detect, alarm, and allow location to have security with minimal user underaction.
The market change for metal detection screening has long since been dominated for use in airports, but with lower costs, are now more standard in areas such as schools, building entrances, or at a mass transit location. The market for detection with fixed position model with low price has driven the enhanced technology price down, with the demands and more locations for security.
Metal detectors are very simple systems, and the technology has let us give almost zero setup requirements for customers to enjoy. A password system with a number to protect potential tampering keeps the cost down for the cost of ownership. The device can be simply moved to another location with no ill effects, the freestanding model is easy to change to please the different conditions of use. For a high secure location like an airport, you can attach the scanner at the base for extra safety. Airports normally don’t need to move the location of security screening, as this location would be next to an x-ray scanner.
Metal detectors split the detection area into a zone, the more zones the higher the sensitivity needs to be, this security technology has made the detector locate the metal item with greater accuracy to pinpoint the different zone areas. Multiple items also don’t fool the solutions, as the frequency of detection is constant. Our current 33 zone detector is our highest amount of zones, the unit splits the detector area into 11 vertical segments top to bottom, and this is repeated lateral three times left, middle and right sides.
In 2021, our first 48 zone model will come to market and a low price. The newer item is made for the latest in security at airports that meet the demands of different standards, such as TSA. This unit offers superior pinpoint technology and unmatched discrimination features.
The portable detector has many different use cases, the unit has a lower operating power DC requirement and can be used with battery backup solutions. This unit is assembled into a small footprint and has wheels for a true portable security detector. With 24 zones it still offers accurate detection of all metals, high level of discrimination features. The metal detection elements can operate in any direction and have no left or right side compared to the other metal detectors with a visual display.
The 33 zone metal detector also has a counter, so will display how many passes and alarms have been triggered. The metal detectors operate at a fast pace so can allow for a large volume of traffic, ideal for security at venues.
With the advent of the global pandemic in 2020, the need for additional screening of temperatures has been a market-leading request. Using either a medical temperature probe and raising your wrist to get a measurement, the metal detector can then display skin surface temperatures. Whilst these are not medically qualified it is only to be used for a reference point in which to act apon.
Centralized security reduces the costs of manpower, our metal detector units have optional software which can monitor alarms and send alerts to a PC software platform. With social distancing and the need to be safe at work, only with the need to act on alarms is better. Multi-devices can all be connected and monitored at the same time to give a true central security solution.
People counting and alarm reports can be generated, and full log information is accessable.
